Our HR training course is designed for drivers who want to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence. We focus on teaching you how to operate HR vehicles safely and professionally. With flexible training hours to suit your schedule, our program delivers high-quality heavy vehicle training tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re aiming to drive a truck or a bus with three axles, this course is ideal for you.
At Excel Trining, we don’t impose a minimum or maximum number of lessons. We offer as many sessions as you need to ensure you’re ready for your test. Upon passing the practical driving test, your existing licence will be upgraded free of charge with the new HR class added. Plus, having this licence makes it easier to upgrade to a Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) licence in the future.
To upgrade to an HR licence, you must have held a car licence (minimum Red Plates) for at least 24 months and successfully complete the Heavy Vehicle theory test with QLD Transport, which can be done on the same day as your practical test.
